– is our 6th edition, that celebrates the unique style of longboard surfing. Consistently hosting surfers of world class level and at the same time being a platform for growth of our local talents.
The competition itself is mobile, set up on the best spot for the day on the coast of Jæren.
This year we open up with a movie night on the 18th of September at Boretunet with an exciting line up of short and long films. This event is open to everyone and free of charge. The Havgal bar on site will be open to serve pizza and beverages.
Friday will likely see both some free surfing and the first round of competitions. Also called the seeding rounds, they are non-eliminatory and decide the starting positions in the next rounds.
Saturday is the day of days with competitors hoping to surf it out all the way into the final to be crowned king and queen of Surf Fest Scandinavia 2025. For those feeling celebratory, a secret venue will be announced in the competitors chat.
Sunday we got the barbie going out at Surfd ready to tell stories of yesterday.

What went down in 2024?
As travelers arrived and locals punched out at work on Friday the event officially started with a sunset photosession with Valentin Launay documenting the athletes riding long lefts.
When the sun set most gathered at the Boretunet beach house where head judge Hans Lindborg held a seminar on longboard scoring for both athletes and crew alike.
Saturday morning there was little swell and the surf committee had the difficult task of selecting a location that would provide rideable waves for the first heats and protection from the howling winds to come during the day.
After postponing the event for one hour, at 9am, the first round was in the water with knee high glassy waves. As the day went on the swell increased to the head high range in all star finals.
When night came the whole gang met up once more, this time in dry clothes at local rebuild stables with screening, DJ, and dansing.
Those who braved the morning hours the following day took on the Whomp, Chomp, and Stomp expression session in a lineup that was soo crowded. Yet everyone seemed to catch plenty of waves.
By twelve the barbie was up and scorching at the Surfd store where people showed up, told tales of yesterday and viewed the local shaper Jan from ADHD Surfboards work his magic on a new blank.
