Surf Fest Scandinavia welcomes all to cherish the beautiful style of longboarding and its part in the Scandinavian surfing community on the 11th to 13th of October on Jaeren, Norway.

The format and so on will be very similar, if not completely the same to that of the World Surf League. All surfers gets at least two heats to showcase their style and the few lucky ones gets to surf some more heats!
The “contest” will be judged by a very qualified panel led by the legend Hans Lindborg. Hans basically judges all major events in Scandinavia and also frequently judges at the British Longboard Union due to his high regarded expertise in longboarding. We would have no one less and hope he may spread his wisdom upon us during this visit.

For those who do not have a longboard, or just want to get freaky, you may still participate in our expression session cleverly called Whomp, Chomp, and Stomp. Here we enjoy a one hour session where there are no rules but a panel of diverse judges select their favorite Whomp or whopping (wipeout), Chomp (biggest/longest wave), and Stomp (sickest maneuver). Traditionally the participants have expressed their love for alternative crafts such as tandem on softboards, retro surfboards and a sofa(!?). The expression session is drop in only. So come to the beach, enjoy the logging and have your wettie ready!
For those that do the dance on a longboard you should know that as a surfer in the longboard event you also get the Surf Fest tee, pizza and drinks. Surfers traveling to participate are recommended to reach out to us and/or contact Boretunet for accommodation. Sign up is now closed!
